This was such an inspiring day. Such a lovely video to help everyone who participated to feel proud. ❤️
The staff in @fifecouncil.bsky.social held a Showcase earlier this month, highlightng the many insights gained from engaging with #DaringVentures. @lynburnnurture.bsky.social has led this initiative with aplomb! Here's the new video that gives a flavour of the day. www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7ey...

I often wonder how people can follow and / or be complicit in the face of cruelty. @suzannezeedyk.bsky.social breaks it down for us in this fascinating thread. "He needed less than 30 seconds to turn young men & women into collaborators - to make them complicit in his humiliation...& meanness."
How is it that Trump crafts allegiance from (some) members of the public? Answers can be seen very clearly in this brief clip from his speech at the University of Alabama last week. He is playing with emotional dynamics fundamental to human functioning. THREAD.

I had a call with folks in Aberdeen today. One of the spontaneous moments was when Karen said, excitedly: "Our next bookgroup is reading this one by Sarah Lathan." I snapped a photo & said I would be glad to share widely their enthusiasm for Sarah's insights on relational practice.

Staff in Fife have done the most remarkable things with the information gained in their #DaringVentures Course during 2024 & 2025. Today is the last Cafe, where we get more insights into how they have applied it. I can't wait! @lynburnnurture.bsky.social

Todays #DaringVentures café was a busy one. "What if we got rid of the blame & got curious about the needs of the children, teachers, & parents?" Imagine a world where we got rid of blame? This is what we are working towards in Fife. @suzannezeedyk.bsky.social

Great article this week by @pperry.bsky.social imposter syndrome, anxiety, inner narratives and "the liking gap" (a new one for me). Fascinating read.

I've been doing HeartMath every day for 100 days, here is what I have noticed:
* Improved memory and focus
* Improved emotional resilience
* Increase in ability to regulate during moments of stress
* Improved relationships
* Feeling of being at ease in my own body

I tried out the HeartMath boardgame "Wild Ride to the Heart" today with an older pupil, then a younger pupil. It was enjoyed by both. A fun way to open up discussions about emotions @anam-alba.bsky.social

We celebrated the official opening of our Kit Bag themed room. There has been a lot of hard work from our talented PSA, Mrs Lang who drew and painted each animal by hand. A beautiful space for our children.

It was a beautiful mindfulness session this evening. Today, we looked at journaling and setting intentions. What's seeds do we want to grow, and how can we create the right conditions. Thank you for your wisdom @lizcain.bsky.social

Play is therapeutic, it's relational, regulatory, involves communication and cooperation, and boosts emotional wellbeing. It's a fundamental part of childhood. It was so beautiful to hear the interactions between these two pupils.

The impact of the #DaringVentures Course in Fife has been most remarkable. The creativity of attendees in rippling this information out to others and their willingness to weave it into their own lives. I find the stories emerging to be remarkable.

Boundaries are an important relational concept. A fascinating thread from @suzannezeedyk.bsky.social
That meeting between Zelenskyy, Trump & Vance contained so many shifts in relational boundaries. It is easy to have missed them, amidst the drama & the bluster. I want to highlight them because they provide signals as to how international relations will be tested in coming weeks. THREAD

"Manufactured anger"
6. BOUNDARY SHIFT 4: More aggression
At 43.15, Trump joins in the aggression. He puts up both his hands and adds an instruction: "Don't tell us what we're going to feel." What?? He's upset because a man speaking in his third language chose a particular word?? This is silly. It is manufactured anger.

Brilliant thread 👏
What would a trauma-informed analysis of the Trump-Zelenskyy meeting look like? I think it would pay attention to body language. It would consider what was happening biologically. Here's my THREAD tracking changes over the 50 mins.

I really enjoyed this podcast. Suzanne and Matthew have a great energy. The Traitors fits so well with the relational dynamics of #DaringVentures
In this conversation, I talked about how the relational dynamics we observe in #TheTraitors are the same ones we observe in real life contemporary politics. Group Think, Othering, Suspicion.... All of those & more.

We have repurposed a dull room to create a functional nurture space for exploring Kit Bag. Designed and painted by the hand of a very talented PSA (Mrs Lang). We can't wait to get children timetabled into this room and make use of this beautiful room. #KitBag #Nurture
