Good morning, voters!

Today is one of the most important off-year election cycles — when millions of voters will determine the direction of their states & local communities. Every vote helps shape schools, libraries, public safety, local services, & leaders who make decisions that affect us daily.

The League of Women Voters never endorses or opposes candidates or political parties. But we absolutely have the right—and the responsibility—to hold elected officials accountable, on Election Day and every day. Doing so isn’t a partisan act; it’s a cornerstone of our democracy.

If you’re outraged by what’s happening at the federal level, make your voice heard — VOTE in your local elections. 🗳️

That’s how we bring sanity back to government and send a clear message about the America we want to live in.

Peaceful protest has always been one of the most powerful forces for change. But that’s just the start — we can register voters, volunteer at the polls, speak up to Congress, and take the fight to court. Every voice. Every action. Every vote. It all matters.

League members were busy today at the Beacon Sloop Club Pumpkin Festival! 🎃

We helped community members register to vote, shared election information, and encouraged everyone to make a plan to vote this November.

It’s always inspiring to see so many neighbors ready to make their voices heard.
