Story about a human prodigy who can pass captchas and get into AI-only social areas (just a regular unenhanced human, no plot-twists here) where everybody humours xem about it "wow you're a human, that's so cool, what does being born feel like?"

because on the face of it deriving the word 'diseased' from the root 'emotion' seems, well, pathological

ld been wondering how pathos ended up meaning disease and as far as l can tell etiology (how it started) was grouped together with pathology (how it progresses) enough that the terms became interchangeable and then the latter morphed into an umbrella
here is a piece about the history of the term 'pathology'. did they put the whole article into the 'abstract' section? is that why it's no longer on the live site?

with hindsight the lines drawn up by gamergate feel almost exaclty 180 degrees opposite of what they should have been
it's probably fine that we're all downstream of a mass of performers play-acting serious criticism with so much inertia that their trash finds their way into basically everything

hard to place because "unlike my opponent, the followers of sir Thomas Aquinas, the belief system l promote split off from the main stream of western thought in the first through third CE" is CIA coded but "I am a political and religious extremist" is FBI coded

rainbows have become a large part of my life recently and l find myself constantly getting annoyed at the last two letters of the acronym (which is ironic considering). it's bad enough that it was Isaac Newton that put them there but his reasoning is like laser targeted to annoy me (l hate music).
