I think this is the first year of my life where I’ve been getting this much enjoyment out of drawing

my art is nowhere near the best and I know it has so many areas for improvement but

creating them makes me so happy

and I think that’s so nice

(OCs: Yvie, Sunny, Liang, Lessa, Mae, Isu, Misha)
a compilation of sketches I have drawn. from top to bottom, clockwise: Sunny (with her glasses on) with a concerned expression Liang, with a new outfit I am trying to test out with them (a combination of late qing-era clothes with a hanfu-style outergarment draped on them + an east asian conical hat); they are holding a branch in their right hand as a hiking stick whilst raising up their left hand with a smile on their face. Lessa and Mae, faced towards each other with concerned expressions. Lessa looks on to something happening ahead of them with a camera in their hands whereas Mae looks up to face them holding a notebook and pencil a design test for Isu, a relatively new OC I am trying to plan out a very vague headshot sketch of my friend Misha trying to speak with a serious hands practice outfit tests for Liang (from left to right; a westernised trench coat / long coat, a late qing era intellectual outfit, a late qing rural worker outfit) Yvie and Sunny as children (Yvie’s outfit was inspired by the Junge Pioniere in DDR whereas Sunny’s outfit was inspired by school uniforms in Taiwan) Regulus from Reverse: 1999 Yvie and Sunny standing beside each other. Yvie has a hot drink in her right hand as she glances towards Sunny, who is busily writing something down in her notebook, with a shocked and somewhat pained expression. Yvie, meanwhile, has a melancholy yet detached expression and demeanour.

I forgot the pockets on the newer version + the teeth are still there because I just “edited” the original by drawing over it LMAOO 😭 at least it doesn’t make my eyes bleed this time round
a pencil on paper drawing of a long haired girl wearing a hat, jeans and duffel coat. the girl has her left fist raised in the air with an excited expression as if she is cheering. her hair is slightly disheveled to show movement. it is an edit of a drawing I made in March 2024, and I drew the new version by erasing and re-touching parts of the old art. there is a slightly faded doodle of a lower jaw in the bottom right corner, because I used the same paper to practice teeth back when I first drew this. older version of the same drawing I made in March 2024. the clothing folds are a lot messier because I was still learning how to incorporate them properly, the overall balance is a lot more skewed compared to the newer version and the lines are less confident. also the lower jaw I doodled in the bottom right corner is more distinct.
