This is the sane position on LLMs/GenAI ⬇️
"I have a decent fluency in LLMs, and they have utility, but the absurd degree of over-hype, the way they're being forced on everyone, and the insistence on ignoring the many valid critiques about them make it very difficult to focus on legitimate uses where they might add value."

Every month Google reminds me that people - probably worried about their future prospects - search for "can introverts get married" and land on one of my blog posts where I write about an archetype that I call "the married introvert", which is entirely unhelpful in answering that question.

Isn't it interesting how both the political left and the political right argue that public discourse has shifted too much into the other direction? Obviously they can't both be correct.

I wrote a blog post about my experience at TREEWEEK TWO and somehow it wasn't automatically syndicated to Bluesky, so while I'm checking my blog settings here we go manually:

Apparently this is uncommon, especially as a man, but I'm sure I've never spent time seriously imagining myself being in a situation where I have to physically defend myself or anyone else.

If a certain job is required for a functioning society, you cannot judge people for taking that job; when they complain about working conditions and you suggest they could just do another job, you're basically saying that they shouldn't suffer but someone else should.

After some of the recent social media discourse I have concluded what many men mean when they want to "end wokeness".

It boils down to wanting 3 things:
1) Objectify women they find attractive.
2) Openly criticize women they don't find attractive.
3) Nobody ever calling them out for doing 1) or 2).
