Maybe if I nervously tweet my little jokes and observations it will momentarily distract me from The Horrors.

In retrospect, I think a lot of the shock and rage we saw after Charlie Kirk's death was not in spite of, but BECAUSE he was a cruel white man.

A lot of cruel white men thought they were exempt from violence by virtue of their whiteness and entitled to forgiveness by virtue of their maleness.

You can't even stop a car by firing a gun into it. That's not how momentum works.

You can tell she wasn't driving at anyone because the car continued to drive for like half a block in completely the opposite direction.

I had a hellish flu last week, and I coughed painfully if I laughed, so I watched only serious movies to pass the time.

So I finally watched, "There will Be Blood" for the first time sick as a dog and, friends, it failed to cheer me up.

There should be a word for this spaced-out sense of rage and alienation that comes from watching jackbooted thugs murder civilians and threaten WW3, and still having to, like, brush your teeth and pick up your dry cleaning and take your cat to the vet and stuff.

If a human person was caught making and sharing child porn openly on the website they work for as an employee of that company, that person would be fired.

On the one hand, I think AI will always lose out to human artists in the end, because audiences crave humanity in their art, and want to see the people behind the work. But I also worry that that will further pressure artists to put themselves on display just to sell their work.

If we can have a moderation tag for "rude," we can have one for AI.

I've made a quick list to block a bunch of accounts (mostly bots, but not exclusively) promoting generative AI. I'll occasionally be updating this list, mostly aiming for big accounts posting a lot of AI content to further declutter feeds.

A society that is both heavily consumerist and obsessed with clout will love AI, because it repositions the act of creativity as a product you can buy. Posting AI art becomes an act of conspicuous consumption, displaying your purchase for clout like a fancy sports car.

Labour strikes aren’t new!

The first recorded strike in history took place in Egypt some 3,200 years ago!

The ‘Strike Papyrus’ records that tomb workers of King Ramesses III downed tools over pay and conditions circa 1157 BC!

I used to think the advice to write every day was unrealistic, especially since I have such a chaotic schedule. But it's actually amazing how writing every day, even if just for a few minutes, changes my brain somehow? Everything is a story. Every gesture and reference gives me an idea.

I feel like, if a president is incapable of holding office due to a serious condition like Alzheimers, and his unelected henchmen rule the country instead by puppeteering his barely conscious body around, isn't that, like, treason? That's treason, I feel.
