44% of NI households reported their quality of life has been impacted by rising energy prices and the cost of living.
This is even higher amongst those living in privately rented accommodation (65%) or social housing (75%).

Over one in five (22%) of NI households have had to borrow money to pay for their energy use. This was even higher amongst those living in privately rented accommodation (47%) and social housing (55%).

One in 10 of NI households told us they are skipping meals or cutting back on food due to rising energy prices and the cost of living. This means choosing between ‘heating or eating’ is a reality for around 80,000 NI households.

36% of NI households are sitting in a cold house, wearing coats, blankets or using a hot water bottle. These detrimental coping measures are not good for anybody’s health.
