Even after 18+ years of pulling tacks, staples, glass, barbed wire, and who knows what else out of wrestlers, I’m really scared to get these surgical staples taken out next week. Like, I’m totally gonna cry.

I’m very tired today and my body is super aware there’s a bunch of staples in my leg. I did pt this morning and that’s basically all I’ve done. Zero energy.

Today i changed out the gauze and ace bandage combo for a silverlon giant adhesive bandage and my leg feels good so far. I’ve also been getting around the house today with the cane only and let me tell you that took about 3-4 weeks with the right leg so I feel tremendous.

This orange girl completely missed her night nursing shift and had the audacity to sleep in front of everyone. Fibby, the state is going to take your nursing license if you keep this up.

I’m in a lot more pain this time (I think? Maybe it’s the same.) and then finding out two friends passed has just devastated me. I’m ready to sleep for a week. Except I can’t get comfortable.

It’s ridiculous how good the food in this hospital is. Last night I had blackened salmon for dinner and this morning I had a bacon, spinach, and cheese omelette with a biscuit and gravy. Plus, grape juice whenever. My night nurse brought me grape juice at 1a.

Had Doritos as a breakfast appetizer. Popcorn overnight. Politely asked my nurse to redo my dinosaur blanket the correct direction. Watching cartoons all night. I’m really just the pinnacle of self-care right now.
