In the gaming world, you know a brand needs money as soon as it starts spamming collab content with other big brands.

Right, #MagicTheGathering? 🫠

Today at the company we finally dropped the last project we were still hosting on Vercel and moved it to a dedicated server.

A small satisfaction, I have to admit.

Yes, in the end I went back to Omarell and decided to stick with something more standard on #Gnome.

Still, the #Forge experiment remains available here for anyone who wants to give it a look: omakasui.org/manuals/omaf...
#Omarell has reached v1.5.2! 🔥
I'm very satisfied with its progress, as well as my own. Working on this really helped me learn Linux.

#Omakub has been a great driving force, and #Omarchy continues to fuel it. #GNOME, as it's, is still a very respectable DE.

Yes, #Omakub has been a bit neglected lately in favor of #Omarchy.
But I believe it still has room to grow, with more contributions and improvements.

That’s why I’ve started a full refactor, based on Omarchy approach.

Soooo... PR here: 😇

Note This PR is a proposal and not yet complete. The migrations between versions are still missing, and I’m looking for feedback from anyone willing to test, given the amount of work involved in th...

Se vuoi provarlo, questo è un buon momento. 😀 Anche se non mancano i bug tra versioni, il server Discord è abbastanza seguito e se qualcosa non funziona lì trovi sempre qualcuno che ti aiuta.

Now the next step is to no longer rely on #Ubuntu Desktop, but to run everything from Server ISO so as to keep the environment as clean as possible and have only what you need! 👀

... and if "vanilla" Ubuntu feels aseptic, there's always #Omakub or #Omarell 🔥

I totally understand all the "hype" (lol!) about #hyprland... Yet #GNOME continues to be a really cool playground for trying out new mixes of extensions and customizations. 🔥

Ciao!
Ho visto che DHH ha da poco pubblicato la prima release di Omarchy, come Omakub ma basato su Arch + Hyprland. Pensi di darci uno sguardo? 🤔

I happened to use it on a terrible laptop and it worked. Disabling everything, of course. Animations, effects and removing anything that wasn't navigation (no FF snap, only from ppa).

It worked!

Which, by the way, was also the reason why I started putting up my Omakub respins to minimize garbage.

So the problem is the minimum requirements because of Gnome?

I tried the recent 24.04 on a PC like that (4gb & i3 4 gen) and it worked.
Ok, not like others. But hey... I think it's fine.
