Great news: Im settled in in Anchorage, where I’ll be until #ITIalaska race day. My lil’ spot here has immaculate vibes, is a 2 minute walk from a pristine municipal winter trail…and even has indoor plumbing!

This race starts and finishes at Happy Trails Kennel, home or Martin Buser. I had a nice long chat with Martin before race yesterday and he gave me one order before ITI starts: get fatter 😂.

And my act of self care: purchasing a plane ticket to a friend’s destination wedding in Ireland! I always have one fun and very concrete plan set for after a big adventure, as a reminder that there’s more to look forward to beyond the goal 🤍🇮🇪☘️🐑

We got to Sled Dog Camp in time to see the Shady Pines race team off. Have fun guys, make good choices!! The kennel is running two 30 mile teams at Wilderness Sled Dog Race this weekend up in Greenville Maine.
