My view is that it helps to discuss an "interview language policy" with participants, and to actively support translanguaging. Implications of lang choices for the findings must then be reflected on: "linguistic reflexivity" is important! Refs 👇🏻

Diminishing numbers of international students at our university courses is definitely not a good thing for HE revenue, not good for diverse skill development & not good for the richness of the experience UK universities offer to all students. Bad on all accounts except keeping the racists happy.
