For 24 yrs now, I’ve worked within the walls of over 50 HBC stores, spanning 7 provinces.
Along the way the focus vanished, e-commerce failed. The stores are beyond repair and the vendor trust is gone.
All that aside, I’ve spent more time in stores than I have anywhere else and this feels weird 💔

gotta say, @jmcelroy.bsky.social, your journey meant a lot of thing to a lot of people - thank you for taking us along for the ride. We momentarily got to see glimpses of humanity from all across the globe, when we usually struggle to see it right in front of us. You did great tonight ♥️

getting multiple children asleep before 9pm is a massive accomplishment. Once properly executed, it allows for 2-3 solid hours of not putting anymore kids to bed. That is an incredibly big deal and not to be taken lightly.

my kids are having a sleepover at their grandparents and I don’t have to do bedtime and that’s very exciting and if I posted that on threads they’d tear me from limb to limb for exposing my children to the horror of *checks notes* feeling safe within their own family.
