Highly recommend Turning Point, Bomb & Cold War on Netflix. Learning about Machiavellian factions of the 1920-1960s that built the gvmt that we consider is for us (?), it is both eye opening and comforting to know that DJT is FAR from the first Pres to not give a shit about the people's needs

Watching Katrina on Netflix. I was a much more naive person then, who believed in a benevolent government despite being raised evangelical+ Republican. I don't think we've ever had the power to look behind the curtain and I wonder if even our heroes would horrify us if we could.

If this holds true, I expect Spanberger to do big things because she will have the votes. Paid parental leave, legal weed, support unions, give teachers and counselors raises, and hey why not universal healthcare too? Make big changes Dems!
Looks like the Dems will pick up 12 seats in the VA House of Delegates, which will go from 51-49 to 63-37 D-R. That's an honestly shocking result.

2016 was the first year I couldn't stop watching returns as they trickled in. Despite how heartbreaking that eventually was, I still watch from beginning to end for every election. Hoping for an 18+ blowout in VA

I've never heard get out the vote ads on amazon music in my 20 something years in VA. This year they're all over, in both English and Spanish, encouraging people to vote. Pretty cool
