If you need to ask this question, you weren't there. You missed the oncoming 1st of the copycats, then the Rolling Stones and all the anti-Beatle bands which popped up out of nowhere....
More men need to tell us they've never been a fan of The Beatles. It shows an independence of thought but also profound intellectual insight; a refusal to run with the herd. I especially like to see it in response to someone expressing their love of the group. It's outspoken, contrary and brave.
