a smart toilet vendor just made a joke about putting ads on the toilet display before you can flush

I'm beginning to think the simulation is real

heads up if you're about to migrate Paddle Classic subscriptions to Paddle Billing using their migration tool:

if you have existing custom_data fields in Classic subs, the structure will be different in Billing webhooks, and this isn't documented 😬

migration tool is pretty good though

if you're building a big app using AI without a design system guide, your app turns into a Frankenstein of inconsistency ☠️

you ask it to build a new page, it builds a page based on the last page it built, without context of your full design

so, create a design system in your agents[.]md

I'm not into agent orchestration that much, mostly because the tech isn't just quite there yet, but I can definitely get behind the name of this orchestrator 😊

I guess trying to make people cringe physically is the new bill board strategy

first the Friend one, now this 😬

I've been developing software for decades, and I still get extremely giddy when I find a new method of doing something, usually making it 10x faster and cleaner

never lose that spark and you'll be good

NuxtJS v3 seems to be more efficient with lines of code than v2 👀

yay, MuteDeck is getting a Safari extension at last!

Apple's submission process for extensions is grueling, made so much more complicated because you need to submit an app with the extension embedded instead of just an extension

review process took 3 weeks

this is why Safari has almost none 🤔

this is gold. I asked Claude to add protection against empty customer names

it did that, but also defaulted to 'there' as the customer name, which had me puzzled at first

but Claude knew the SendOrderFollowUp email was using this: "Hi {$firstName},"

so an empty name would be "Hi there,"

🤯

TIL from Claude: the SQLite UNION statement

got two tables with similar data and want to query both in one query?

below is an example that'll query two tables, get the same data, and use 'app' and 'web' as differentiator from where the data came from 👇

just helped a customer that was hit by a livewire RCE

actors are actively scanning and exploiting the <3.6.4 issue in CVE-2025-54068

make sure you update packages regularly, but definitely when there's a RCE!

branding can be a fun gimmick if you remember it

reading posts from this company, you go "huh, that's a weird typo" a few times

but it's on purpose, and now you remember them 😊

I think I figured out how to make backups of the enormous amount of time spent in Cloudflare's console setting things up

using terraform to dump all config to .tf's via github, having it commit the output to a repo, detect changes and create a release out of it - so I get an email with a diff 😊

finalizing the WhatPulse yearly wrapped page and discovering I need to vibe more, code less, given my usage in vs code 😉

as long as coding assistant chats don't understand they are breaking their ui by adding code blocks in code blocks, making the ui jump out of the first code block, we'll never have AGI
