As someone who frequently has to google search their own work because it’s easier than searching my own archives, I could see this being really handy.
update to this thread- they added a shortcut so you don’t have to type "from:[username]” in the search box anymore.
you can just search “from:me” and then whatever you’re looking for. Works on bsky.app and in the official mobile apps AFAIK

Another reason that using alt text helps YOU, not just other people on this site:
You can search your posts now, and that includes anything you include in your alt text. In the search bar, use "from:[username without the At symbol]" and include a key word.
