Never be shy about asking straightforwardly for a contract. Find out your deadline, what exactly is expected of you, what the pay is, when it will be paid.
Asking for these things is not rude, it's a normal part of professional practice. Anyone who responds poorly is waving a red flag in your face!

Never be shy about asking straightforwardly for a contract. Find out your deadline, what exactly is expected of you, what the pay is, when it will be paid.
Asking for these things is not rude, it's a normal part of professional practice. Anyone who responds poorly is waving a red flag in your face!

Any decent publisher will be happy to sign one in order to reflect the truth - it will avoid confusion down the road and protects both parties. π

Reposting as you probably all saw I worked with Cam on a project to bring disabled NPCs into his games. The content itself was made well over a year ago and whilst I will admit I was at fault for not keeping contact well during the project (I was going through mental and physical health issues-
I never thought this would spread. I have made a Google doc with all of the evidence and my story. I do consider you read it to get context of what happened with him.

Yeah, I saw a fair few people working with him too. I had no direct experience beyond 'a vibe' but I trusted the person who warned me away, and I'm grateful they did reach out even after I'd decided against working with him.

Unfortunately, I was so excited at the prospect for being hired for something, even when it turned out to be a royalty split, that I ignored my misgivings
