This is going to sound more flip than I mean it, but when I was a kid I watched the Blues Brothers running Illinois Nazis off a bridge and the Nazis on Hogan's Heroes being pathetic dimwits every damn day, and I do feel like we need to get back to constant, vicious cultural ridicule of open racists.

Just walked home from the Southside. Crossing the road near Trinity, I saw a load of fire and Garda vehicles, lights, sirens, the whole shebang. I had no idea what was happening, but everyone started moving faster. The tension in Dublin is palpable, most people just want this shit to stop.
