When I lived in Leeds in the 2000s there was a club night near my flat called "Tiger Trap", after the '90s girl band. My biggest regret it is being too shy, and depressed, to go to that night and make friends with the organisers.

What's incredible about this country is that while the government is bringing in Section 28 but for trans people, people whose existence is not being threatened are upset about the imagined idea that somebody will change their precious flag.

I'm actually really glad I couldn't afford to buy a home here because there is no way I can continue to live in this dogshit country, with each election more stomach churning than the last. A curtain-twitching country that likes to punish poor, disabled, and trans people for existing.

Debating transphobes only legitimises their vile bigotry. Their "different view" is that they don't want trans people, whom they regard as perverts, to exist. Me and Andy have had our differences, but he is an ally in the liberation of all LGBTQ+ people.

The Observer is a disgusting rag that promotes transphobia and biphobia, but has nothing to say about actual predators like Nick Cohen. Fuck everybody who runs and contributes to it.
