Ryan Thames has issued a formal apology to me. This was never about $—it was about integrity. I’m grateful that the false statements have been publicly corrected and that the truth is now clear. I hope this outcome serves as a reminder that words carry weight and accountability matters. @la-cac.org

Looking for a sweet story to share with grandkids....Everyday Bean by @StephanieGraegin and @TundraBooks has hints of Winnie-the-Pooh wonder.

Just finished writing to NC Representatives Foxx and Edwards asking them to restore funding to libraries by restoring the .003% of the full federal budget that the IMLS receives. There's still hope if we let them know how we feel about libraries and museums.

Early Closure of House Leaves IMLS Future Hanging; What This Means & What You Can Do
The abrupt early recess in the House of Representatives means the future of IMLS funding remains a question mark. Use this time to act.

Over on Instagram, I made a handy and highly sharable carousel about how we can still save the Institute of Museum and Library Services, if you'd like to pass that to your friends, family, and networks there, too.

nb: it's "of" and not "for," but I'm not editing.

So grateful for the volunteers who make the school library run: my Library Minions (student assistants), parent volunteers, and TA's. Truly, they provide ideas & can-do energy. Let me also give a shout out to the leaders at #ncdpidtl and the leads in the county. Appreciate you! #SchoolLibraryMonth

I love my library space with its Makerspace and wall of windows looking out into nature. And bless the soul who decided all the shelving units should be on wheels so we can easily reconfigure the space. #schoollibrarymonth #ncslma #aasl
