Royal Mail is replacing 52 vans with 104 Micro Electric Vehicles (MEVs) to save 242 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year.

The MEVs will also improve air quality & road safety, occupy less space, & speed up deliveries.

The company operates 7,000 electric vehicles and plans to add 1,800 more in 2026!

A win that speaks volumes. Huge congratulations to the dear, brilliant and indefatigable Shrub, an absolute warrior for nature.
Absolutely delighted that my book THE LIE OF THE LAND has won the Wainwright Prize for Conservation Writing!

This week, one of the book’s recommendations, a ban on moorland burning, became a reality. Next, we need a Nature Bill for England…

We need a bold and fair climate plan. The government must produce a plan in under 50 days, and Sadiq Khan can help make sure it delivers by pressing Keir Starmer for more powers and funding.

Ask Sadiq to back a bold and fair climate plan.

It's five years since the UK government vowed to protect 30% of our land and seas by 2030, and progress has been dismal. So-called protected areas are spoiled by sewage, industrial contamination and destructive development – pushing wildlife into freefall. www.the-independent.com/climate-chan...

“Air pollution makes people more susceptible to respiratory infections and other illnesses and it can have a significant impact on those living with allergies”.

Air pollution inside schools can be 2-5 x or even 100 times worse than outdoors.
