Stock of some of my Abortifacients cravats is starting to dwindle... In particular, these two shades of green!

Intended as a protest, these scarves are illustrated with (dangerous) herbs than can be used to end a pregnancy. $5 from each goes to abortion funds.

Thinking about Frankenstein and Mary Shelley…
Text: I think that like many teens do, Mary Shelley was writing a self insert fic. I’m certain she identified with the creature — as a girl recently estranged from her father and struggling with (and angry at) his rejection of her. But also as Victor — as a young woman recovering from multiple miscarriages and infant loss, grappling with what it means to attempt to create life, and the dream-turned-nightmare of what it might mean to resurrect life. Victor’s immediate rejection of the creature and subsequent disappearance reads so much like postpartum psychosis and depression to me.

The "Hunter's Feast" silk scarf is HERE!

This silk scarf is an erotic dedication to Baroque era Dutch and Flemish vanitas and hunting still life paintings. It's a collaboration between myself, artist @fyodorpavlov.bsky.social, and paper marbler Abra Mueller.

In this closeup, you can see Fyodor's sumptuous painting surrounded Abra's beautiful marbling. Strung up alongside freshly caught pheasants and a hare hangs a bound young woman, tumbling auburn hair perfectly matching the auburn fur of the doe, two creatures united in their fate and purpose. Surrounding the game animals is a banquet of other luxuries: a wilting bouquet of Semper Augustus tulips, famous as the most expensive tulip variety at the height of Dutch Tulip Mania, rare imported fruits, a haunch of venison and a rack of ribs, an ornate nautilus cup full of wine, and acorns and oysters, two foods believed by the ancient Romans to improve the taste of whatever animal they are fed to. This work is printed on silk at my most versatile size, 90cm, and looks equally fabulous draped loosely around the throat, tied snugly as a chic neckerchief, worn in the hair, tied as a blouse, or utilized in any other way the wearer can dream up. The scarf is constructed from deliciously soft silk satin, mirror-printed on both sides of the fabric to ensure perfect vibrancy from all angles, no matter how it’s tied. Here, I'm wearing the scarf folded into a triangle and tied at my throat, tumbling from between the lapels of my waistcoat.

This scarf is a puzzle to solve: there are two sonnets written by Danielle Roberts scattered across the scarf on ribbons and through tagged objects: one in the voice of the wax model, and one in the voice of her sculptor.
