Great trade for the Orioles if it were flipped 180 degrees.
In exchange for Blaze Alexander, the Orioles are sending Arizona RHP Kade Strowd and minor leaguers Wellington Aracena and Jose Mejia, per source. @SteveGilbertMLB was first
The Orioles are acquiring infielder Blaze Alexander from the Diamondbacks, source confirmed (@ByRobertMurray first). Alexander plays all over, including third, second and a little outfield. He hit .230 last year.

As someone who hosts a podcast that is 99% hardcore baseball,
I think we need more (not fewer) podcasts that are about 20% hardcore baseball, 30% tomfoolery, and 50% obscure music references.

Our status has regretfully shifted to "it's complicated." The Athletic will not be bringing The Roundtable back, and we are asking for permission to yammer about baseball somewhere else. The three of us still want to do it, but ... well, it's complicated.
Hey grant. What happened to the roundtable podcast? Is it still alive?

I think this one of the most interesting things I've written in a while. As everyone tries to light up the pitch models, the pitch models are having a tougher time telling everyone apart.

That’s about 800 IP w/ 78 to cover. A healthy Eflin gives you a higher floor for those IP than Wells, Povich, etc.

This is a bit of a stretch, but I see this Zach Eflin move as somewhat Dodgers-like (assuming the O's add another good starter).
When he signs, everyone asks "where are they gonna fit Eflin into this rotation when he is healthy in May?"
And then it's May, and you need him, b/c injuries happen.
