My New Year’s wish is for a new car that has 4 doors, 4 comfortable seats; the usual horn, lights, seat belts, brakes, heater/air conditioner. Maybe just a good 4 cylinder with dependable transmission. I don’t need expensive electronic gewgaws, no Bluetooth, no add-ons. Just a damned, dependable car

Well, for us a typical after Christmas. Too many leftovers in the fridge. Time for soup and deciding what size freezer containers to use. We are so fortunate, so much more fortunate than so many others. We’re retired, not wealthy but we manage. I guess we’re blessed … or maybe just lucky.
