Delighted that Only Connect is back for another season! That has rounded off a fabulous day very nicely. #onlyconnect

Dad loved cyclamens. They grew in the bed that could be seen from the kitchen window, while doing the washing up. I cannot see a cyclamen plant without thinking of those little plants and without thinking of Dad, even after 19 years without him.

Slow living skills. Preserving, growing much of our own food, sewing and make do and mend.
I started making this quilt a year ago and do a little at a time.
The fabrics are vintage Laura Ashley materials that I've collected over the years. #slowliving #patchwork

Rosa 'White Pet' from Peter Beales roses. I love the shape and colour of these plants and have them close to a rambler Rosa 'Félicité et Perpétue'. They go very well together, which is unsurprising because the former is a sport of the latter. #roseWednesday #roses #whiteroses #gardening

These snapdragon flowers made a positive impact at Gardeners World Live this week. Loud and proud in a velvety strong cerise red, I just love them! #gardening #GWL25

I can't wait to see this beauty fully open. Peonies are such fabulous flowers. I just hope all this rain doesn't ruin it before I get to peer into all those petals.

I love this garden in May. Flowers start blooming and birds whizz around. At the weekend I was at RHS Malvern. Then Niall McCauley came to stay for a couple of days. We visited Aberglasney Gardens and pottered in my veg garden. He kindly also took a few photos. #gardening

A friend sent me this photo of a tree peony in her garden. I think it's probably 'Ezra Pound' and it's stunning!

Close up of Tellima grandiflora, more commonly known as Fringecups. I spotted these today on a walk near to a friend's home. The little flowers look so delicate. It's a herbaceous perennial and looks great growing in a large clump.

One of several harvests of rhubarb already this year. I grow three varieties of rhubarb, Timperley Early (pictured), Victoria and Champagne. I use sweet cicely herb to sweeten the rhubarb as it cooks. Pick rhubarb until the end of July. Freezes well and makes great wine. #gardening #homegrownfood

World Earth Day 2025, theme Our Power, Our Planet. I thought today I’d look back at a video I created a year or so ago. It celebrates the power of community energy, to build communities and to put power back into the hands of the local community.

So many little peaches on the trees in the polytunnel. Let's hope that some of them make it to maturity, without the squirrels snaffling them all. #gardening

For around 30years now my wife and I have shouted “TRIFLE!” at each other at random moments. Just did a good one across the car park of Springtime Nurseries in Crews Hill 👊

That slightly sick feeling when you allow a software upgrade. Sometimes 'improvements' aren't.

I'm so pleased to have just received this comment on a video that I made in summer 2018.
I've been sharing gardening skills and advice on YouTube for over 8 years, and it's great to know that my videos are still helping gardeners across the globe. #gardening #video #feedback
