Large parts of Reform’s coalition could be reached through a fair economy, decent services and a sense that politicians are listening again. These voters are not lost. They want stability and a future where things work.

By mimicking Reform to win back support, the Labour government is making a serious mistake. This race to the bottom emboldens Farage, punishes vulnerable people, amplifies racism, and undermines those working to hold communities together.

'Too often in politics there's a desire to impose what you think the debate is upon the people that you're seeking to represent' this I believe with my whole heart
I’ve heard Mamdani give versions of this line before but it’s worth repeating that his winning strategy was talking to actual human beings who might vote for him, versus some mythical voter democrats are trying to swing from the right who does not exist.

Love this from @adamclery.bsky.social I fell out of love with the game for many of the reasons Adam outlines here. I fell back in love with it one night at St Marys Stadium, beautiful sunset as a backdrop, watching my first Lionesses game, thinking there really is nothing like footy is there?
Three years ago I'd run out of enthusiasm for football... and pretty much everything else.

This is the story about how one trip to a little town in France, and the Football Manager save that followed, changed my entire life.
