In some of the world's worst timing, my graphic novel came out today. 3.5 years of hard work to bring one of my scripts to life and it turned out beautifully. Please consider buying a copy for the kids in your life.
PRESENT the graphic novel, sequel to REAL, is off to the races! Can't wait to share the journey (and the final product).

Got another 'maybe' email today. I'm experienced enough to know that 'maybe' still means 99% 'no', but eventually the thousands of nos turned dozens of maybes will be that 'yes'.

I guess they'll never outgrow the tree lighting party.

My husband and I went for a blustery walk in the snowstorm so I could come back and be extra cozy while I stare out the window and write. 10/10 recommend.

My husband and I are reading the same book from the library right now. Thanks for suggesting it 3 years ago @rmoonhill.bsky.social I finally got around to it

We named her Mama potato because she's hugely pregnant and we first saw her gorging on French fries my daughter left on the back step. She keeps staring in the window asking for more.

I wrote this as a lighthearted but realistic take on the realities of living in a ND household based on my own reality, not what's shown on TV (boy genius and his NT family). I felt so alone for so long, like I was doing everything wrong, until I met other families like mine.

They sent out our laurels 😀 Needed a small win today.

Just got a 'maybe' email. Can I get a 3rd piece of good news today to pull off a little screenwriting 'get your hopes up' hat trick?

Neptune (my comedy pilot about the women in the Alaskan fishing industry) just made the 2nd round of the ISA/Script Pipeline pitch competition. #scriptsky

On this day 1 year ago our graphic novel was released, to great reviews and disappointing sales. It took 3 years to illustrate. I'm still happy that it exists out there in the world with the possibility for children to enjoy, even if it's buried in a sea of titles.

Considering what my family has been going through for months/years (and especially today), the AFF notes for my pilot about a neurodivergent family really cement the fact that those not living with this do not even begin to understand it.

Being a parent is hard. Being a special needs parent is infinitely harder. I am tired.

I was overjoyed when I came home from work today to the mashed potatoes my past self had put in the slow cooker.

First day of daylight savings. I went to the indoor wave pool and boogie boarded in a sunbeam from the skylight. Less hours of daylight = making the most of the ones I have.
