A federal appeals court late Tuesday blocked President Trump from using an 18th-century wartime law to quickly deport a group of Venezuelans, rejecting the administration’s argument that the migrants were part of an “invasion” of the U.S.

Trump Administration Live Updates: Appeals Court Blocks Deportations Under Alien Enemies Act
The ruling was a setback for a key part of President Trump’s immigration crackdown. The case is almost certainly headed to the Supreme Court.

Please give her a follow... we need her follower count to go up, especially when the Wisconsin Supreme Court race coming up on April 7, 2026 is really important.
We have to get through November elections first (and the December #TN07 Special after that).

But come 2026 our first priority will be to elect Chris Taylor for Wisconsin Supreme Court on April 7th.

She only has 32 followers on Bluesky.

Let's get her more.

At the same time, Republicans were less likely than Democrats or independents to think that Trump would try to run again.

If you’re a New Yorker of a certain age you’ll remember the Bronx fires in the 1970s and I’ll bet you didn’t realize they were about profit, not poverty…
A new book follows the trail of money from the arsonists who torched the Bronx in the 70s to the landlords who ordered it, the policymakers who enabled it, the financiers who encouraged it, and the insurers who paid for it.
Did Racial Capitalism Set the Bronx on Fire?
To some, the fires lit in New York in the late seventies signalled rampant criminality; to others, rebellion. But maybe they were signs of something else entirely.

I agree with these lawmakers led by @repbarragan.bsky.social.

The FCC is defying the law by refusing to enforce rules to reduce out-of-control prison call rates.

All to protect kickbacks for correctional facilities at the expense of the families of extremely vulnerable populations.
