"A decision isn't expected to be imminent, one source said."

Have you noticed how often Trump has been throwing around the word "insurrectionists" lately? Bet that decision is more imminent than you think.

Trump administration officials seriously discussing invoking Insurrection Act, sources say
A decision isn't expected to be imminent, one source said, but debate within the administration has shifted recently to more deeply exploring how and when the act might be invoked.

I’m confused how it is despicable to ask that question. These are exactly the kinds of questions we have been begging reporters & TV hosts to ask. You see when they do get asked how sensitive they are about it. Much, much more of this. More crypto questions, Qatar, UAE, etc bsky.app/profile/atru...
Q: How did the White House decide it was appropriate for Jared Kushner to be working on matters that involve Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia -- 3 countries combined that have given him more than $2.5b

LEAVITT: It's frankly despicable that you're trying to suggest that it's inappropriate

The world has felt heavy lately. This news feels like a big breath of fresh air. I could not think of a better person to take over as the host. Mychal's love of libraries and reading shines through, just as it did (and continues to do) with LeVar Burton.

BREAKING: The Pentagon has authorized up to 600 military lawyers to serve as temporary immigration judges.

This is a blatant expansion of military power into a civilian judicial process, a dangerous erosion of the separation between the two.

Every day, we inch closer to fascism.

"Financial reasons" my ass. This is political.

Well there goes the only show I still watch on CBS. When Colbert is gone, so am I. Guessing CBS is going to discover a major drop in viewership next year. FAFO.

Wishing Colbert the best. I'm sure some other lucky network will scoop him up!

Over 100 days since Andry's family last heard from him. Our shameful administration won't even provide proof of life. He never should have been detained in the first place. BRING HIM HOME.

With the tragic assassination of a Minnesota Democratic leader, I’m going to underline this point again.
I know there's a lot going on, but the Secretary of Homeland Security declaring that federal troops are in California and Los Angeles to "liberate" the state and city from its duly-elected leaders really is a fourteen-alarm fire.
It's mind-blowing how little attention this extraordinary statement has received. It's briefly mentioned in a couple news articles, but this MSNBC opinion piece is the only extended discussion of it I've seen: www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnb...

Padilla was thrown down and handcuffed. A senator in his own state! (He has since been released.)

This sets an incredible precedent that will allow the state to regulate books and deny you the right to read freely in public libraries.

Reporter: The president fired the Librarian of Congress. Why?

Leavitt: There were quite concerning things she had done at the Library of Congress in the pursuit of DEI and putting inappropriate books in the library for children.
