All trucks are trucks. A cemented mixer is still a truck.

Yes, this is about pedophiles.

A while back, my husband and I bought peaches from Sam’s club. I was looking forward to a sweet, juicy peach. What we got tasted awful and neither of us ate more than a couple bites. We returned them.

Recent email said they were recalled due to possible listeria! Never eat food that tastes off!

Who else thinks the felon committed an act of war because he was butthurt about his parade vs the no kings protests?

If you are planning on hanging out with many of your like minded friends tomorrow, I suggest you wear sunglasses. It’s harder to identify someone in sunglasses than in a mask, in case you were curious.

I just read a post about hatred and such in the world. It’s a sad thing.

I think sometimes, what we put out in the world comes back. I just got an unexpected message from a long distance friend, a positive message that both brightened my day and brought a tear to my eye. Seek & nurture the good.

I saw this elsewhere here but can’t readily find where to share from them.

I love Wallace and Grommit!

At the grocery store today, first aisle I went down, there was another woman in an N95. I commented on it, and she said she saw people keep getting sick and didn’t want that. Even in a deep red state, some of us are wise.

I mentioned in my email to my mom that I’m making Spanish Rice for dinner. She said they thought it sounded good, too. So if you wanted an idea for dinner…

Ever have gerbils? When I was a kid my folks made the mistake of getting my brothers and I each a mated pair. 1960s, we didn’t know how they breed! We ended up with hundreds.

Small wins - feel free to add your small wins.

Today, I procrastinated a bit, then walked out to go to the post office to mail a package. Just as I headed to the car, the postman pulled up to our mailbox cluster. I asked if I could mail this with him, and he said yes. I’ll take a small win!

The name of the game is going to be visible solidarity and mutual aid.

Wearing a mask is a really good start, even if you don’t think you ‘need’ to.

I recommend reading the full thread. FEMA is far more important than most people realize.

🧵Why you should care: FEMA and Public Health - a mini-essay:

I've seen multiple articles on FEMA this week quoting Trump (following the Project 2025 playbook) saying things like "FEMA has turned out to be a disaster....I think we recommend that FEMA go away."

My husband and I are enjoying his day off together. We have played Age of Mythology, and will watch a few more Walking Dead episodes. We will not be watching the news.

My husband bought himself a present ($4.73 I think) - a computer game. I got nothing, and am good with that. We plan to move in a half year or so, and I don’t want to have things I need to pack!

Find a bit of time when you have focus (I had to read in the morning, my best time of day.) It’s worth the time.
