I like to eat and travel and tell you about it 🍜. Also a portrait photographer.
Often in Austin and Houston and reside in North Carolina.
I asked my husband if he could grab my water bottle from my car.

He said, "Anything for the mother of my children."

We have no kids, but we do have two dogs.

I spent time today talking to local reps who sell equipment and supplies to my NIH-funded lab. They need to know how the NIH works and what the new changes mean for my ability to PAY THEM. Remember, scientists salaries are only small part of the economic impact of science. 1/3

A friend wanted to pick my brain about starting a photography business so we met at Joe Van Gogh. I now have two hours to kill before next meeting so hanging back to try to work through my library books before they’re due 😅. Four holds came in at once!

Today's lunch at my favorite taco truck with my favorite food photographer. This blue truck has no signage or social media. A true IYKYK spot.

“You’re so funny!”

Thanks! I was raised in a convenience store. One of my common childhood punishments was to stand facing the corner, just inches away from one of the beer windows. Customers would go grab their wine coolers while a little Asian girl was standing like Blair Witch Project 🫠

Date night at Naōs, newest addition to Giorgios Group roster! Located where ko•an used to be in Cary, North Carolina. They really transformed the space and I’d order everything we tried again. Especially that manouri cheesecake.

I am definitely an indoor cat during the winter but I love having snow days because the natural light is even brighter with all that reflective snow!

Snow outside, a full crock pot of bolognese sauce slow cooking in the kitchen, a heated blanket, and my library book are making me happy today.
