Other things that I like are astronomical objects.
Things I write about. This is a short thread about my personal experience with business owners and the capitalist class. Part of a longer thread on the nature of socialism in the USA.
"Some capitalists". I know some small business owners that hire disabled people, organize events for low-income classes, and are generally involved in positive community building. They have traditionally voted GOP, staunch republicans, while also performing these obvious "socialist" activities.

I like Art. I particularly like Modern Art. But it can be intricate. Below is an image that is decidedly neo-classical. It is effective and stunning because of it's emotional directness. It connects your visual cortex to your enteric brain to your prefrontal cortex to deliver a knockout.

Long threads that I write. This one is about an article written by a US Army officer, wringing his hands about a quailing surrender to the enemy of Hegsethian fascism. In short, some of our officers in our Army are dazed and confused. And can't tell apart Treason from doing the right thing.
I am troubled by phrases like this: "... assuming the continuing primacy of the autonomous, rights-bearing individual." Given that the concept of the "autonomous, rights-bearing individual" is enshrined in the US Constitution, the question seems to be: "Is Treason OK?" Or are we China, now?

OK, So I'm gonna add this to my #surrealism collection, or maybe #performance-art or something. Because, well, I'm down with people learning to code. And black counter-culture, well, sure why not. TikTok is not what springs to mind. But OK. Sure. And I'm like. Cool. The last ten seconds? Pure art.

Its not just the oligarchs. It's systemic. NYT was lying about "weapons of mass destruction" in Iraq, decades earlier. The reporters wanted access to the White House & Dick Cheney, and if they'd printed "well, you know, the WH is lying", they would have lost access. So they printed lies, instead.
In a series of slick moves, the Oligarchy has gained control of everything we see on TV, the news we read, they filter out our comments on social media, censure our teachers, cowed our universities, and even gerrymandered our right to express ourselves at the voting booth.
