These strawberries gave structure to the garden but always felt like wasted space so this year all but the very end one's are going.

My strawberries were so pitiful last year that I'm sacrificing some of them so I can have the planters for other plants. 🌱

Ok, so @lafeeverte.bsky.social and I were talking about getting a mini greenhouse/ cold frame, mostly to keep the lousy cat from digging up seedlings after they've been planted. 30-40 quid. However, there's a set of old drawers that are surplus to requirements. Hmmm. Upcycling project?

Just looking back through pictures from last year and remembered that I need to start bug watching a bit earlier this year.
Last year I'd lost like half a red currant bush before I even realised they were there, so I'm sure they'll return this year. 🌱👨🌾

The weather is still too inconsistent to start planting, but I did manage to get half the greenhouse wiped down and bought some compost.

It's almost time to find out if these little fella's made it through the winter. The one at the front spent ages packing it (presumably with babies) and it's still sealed so finger's cross 🤞🐝🌱

This corner of the garden looked okay last summer but I just feel like I'm wasting a lot of space.
I planted tomatoes on the support and they just didn't grow well at all, so I might dig it over and create a small raised bed 🤔🧑🌾🌱
