Most of the time, they just get cozy and stay inside, but when they have to go out (due to crimefighting), Melody can use her water magic to turn some of the rain into an umbrella-like cover or during the actual fight, Luke can use his Crystal-heart form to make a massive crystal dome to fight under

But Melody truly loves him equally; she's just less obvious when showing it.

I mean, a decent part of the conflict that occurs in Monster Heart comes from the fact that the people of Rosebloom do not like Luke's monster forms and are pretty annoyed by their presence.
Luke's relentless optimism also makes him kinda annoying to be around for more cynical-minded people.

I also just found a lot of joy in daydreaming and writing as activities.
