Thank you so much for the artshare! Our webcomic Walk on, Weetrill has been a huge focus for us this year! By the end of 2026, we want to have book one complete! It's a tall order at ~200 pages, but we love this story so much, and making it together means everything to us! 💛🌲
Page 29 - 1 - The leaf-walled elevator rises and comes to a halt with a squeeky ‘skreeeek’ onomatopoeia. Weetrill is now in a bright, cheery room walled by the leaves of the forest canopy. 2 - Weetrill looks down in surprise as The elevator gate opens all on its own with a ‘kink’ onomatopoeia. 3 - Weetrill is holding the locket tightly to his chest and looks around uncertainly Weetrill: …Magpie? 4- A massive reveal shot of Magpie’s home in the top boughs of her tree. The room is wreathed in leaves and branches on all sides, with sunlight beams dappling in. Weetrill strides away from the elevator. There is a massive pile of trinkets and treasures to his left, most of them shiny. There is a pink floral human-proportioned teacup to his right, sitting on its side so that small creatures can sit on its lip like a hooded seat. In front of Weetrill is a massive, vacant bird’s nest, with a small ladder leading up to its lip. In the background there is a human-proportioned book at least 4 times Weetrill’s size, flipped open with some magical text on its pages, held open with a magenta bookmark. Weetrill:Now everyone’s cross with me for skipping the line. 2 - a closeup on weetrill’s locket, his face reflected on its surface. Weetrill: It’s bad enough losing half a day’s forage, without having eleventy-nine squirrels chittering behind my back about it! 3 - Weetrill continues his rant, eyes closed in a huff. Weetrill: All because YOU had to make a spectacle of— 4- Weetrill is suddenly cut off by the arrival of a steaming shell-mug of tea, which pushes in from out of frame. Page 32 - 1 - Magpie Witchbird casts a dark shadow as she towers over the teacup seat with the tiny seashell mug pinched between her talons. She has twin branchlike antlers with a crystal hanging from the left antler. Her eyes are bright red. She wears a jeweled human ring as a circlet around her head. She has a massive gemstone on a chain around her neck. 2 - Weetrill’s sass evaporates as he peers up a the bird five times his size. He accepts the tea in both hands and stammers Weetrill: Well - I - yes. Thank you. H-hello, Magpie.
