You absolutely didn't ban him 5 minutes after his post, it was hours later. He wasn't even de-modded until nearly an hour later. Lightless handled one of their staff going rogue and causing drama/panic in an absolutely abysmal way. Take the situation as a lesson and learn from it.

Their mods are warning anyone asking questions about the situation because they can't control their toxic user base. This was sent to me by a friend who asked how they would prevent this from happening in the future. Several users attacked them for not reading the announcement.

tldr; One of Lightless' mods was intentionally setting off people's virus software to "prove a point" with out any prior knowledge. Decide for yourself if you want to support such behavior.

yeah...and the dude legit did it to cause drama and start a panic. He said as much. Apparently Otter (penumbra dev) knew about this activity and the guy was a moderator until nearly 2 hours after backlash got so bad in the Lightless discord that they removed mod status, then banned 3 hours later...

Moderator of Lightless intentionally went into other syncs with an alt discord account and then knowingly shared files that would get flagged as a trojan by antivirus software. He admitted it, and when it was brought to the attention of the Devs/Mods, the response was completely unacceptable.
