Poetry! Politics! Fiction! We've got a delicious new year offering.

A few of our early 2026 events have sold out, from Postcards for Palestine to our writing workshop with the brilliant Candice Chung, so wee reminder that if you're keen to join us, it's worth trying to book in early!
January is upon us and we hope you are safe and cosy. We have quite a few in-person events coming up in the next weeks, to help you find community, ideas, connection and momentum in these dark days.

(99% of our events are live-streamed, so if you can't get to the bookshop you can still join us)

It may be cold as f*ck in Edinburgh, but the sun is OUT, and we are OPEN!

Doggo’s had a bed upgrade to her usual welcome spot, so she can be cosy while delivering serious Monday morning vibes….

The nights are drawing in... so what better time to launch a sapphic gothic thriller that the end of November? We are so excited to welcome Anbara Salam back to the bookshop. We adored her Edinburgh-set novel Hayardous Spirits, and she is back now with another historical offering set in Scotland!
