Meet Life Lifters Kenya... An organisation working to economically empower rural girls in Kenya. Through their work, they address some of the most critical barriers faced by adolescent girls in Kenya including limited access to menstrual hygiene and gender-based inequality. The BRIDGE Breakthrough The BRIDGE programme came at a pivotal moment for their team, offering a pathway to digital upskilling and long-term sustainability and systems-level influence. BRIDGE equipped the team with essential skills in digital campaigning, donor communication, audience engagement, and stakeholder relationship-building. After six months... Life Lifters grew their social media audience by 15% They reached new communities and built new alliances Their Menstrual Hygiene Day campaign exceeded its fundraising target by 150% They received in-kind donations from a US-based company “BRIDGE exposed Life Lifters Kenya to key lessons on donor engagement, communication and retention that have been absolutely revolutionary to our work.” Cynthia Muhonja

But they’re also facing soaring demand, shrinking income and stretched capacity. That’s why they must be supported with the right tools and training to make the most of the opportunities ahead. "Funder plus programmes are incredibly important to the long term sustainability of a charity. For example, the BRIDGE programme helped to push us out of our comfort zone and learn about how to run campaigns in the future... we set up check-ins at different stages of the campaign and were able to bounce different ideas to get the most out of it, which was helpful and encouraging.
