Our little anxious boy finally chilling out after a new t-shirt and cuddles. He's been having a rough year because our apartment complex is excessively noisy. I can't wait to get him out of here.

TikTok gave me #community when I thought there was surely no #queer, #disabled, #trans, #fat, #autistic people like me out there. It taught me INVALUABLE lessons, and explained things that I have desperately searched for the words to describe. There has never been an app like #TikTok.

disabled people don't make enough money. I think we know this. What we may not know is how much stress, worry and fear - real fear - this puts on a disabled person. The emotional tolls of disability poverty go unspoken, and that is a big problem. We need to talk about it all the time.

It's so weird that, as a disabled person living solely on my SSDI check, I no longer qualify for medicaid and I am only allowed $64 in SNAP benefits per month in my state. How can anyone live like this?
