I am still suffering through the affliction of my persistent heterosexuality.
My dad sent my sister and I some crazy long message from a family member who needed money. Neither of us were willing to read all that. I had just one question, ‘who is it for?’ Because the reason doesn’t matter, the person does.

Sometimes I wonder if I’m missing anything having completely disengaged from corporate media. The answer is yes and for the best.

One thing Bluesky still has over Threads is the lack of ads and constant algorithmic manipulation. Both are so aggressive on Threads, at this point, that you have to fight to see what is relevant to you. They are heavy handed in trying to shape and direct thought. It’s a lot.

I walked by and sometimes with homeless people from union station down the street to my law school. Miraculously, no crimes. I gave them money and food and they chatted me up about current events. I was, however, once assaulted by a very much housed man in a red state

I need an anti-head exploding device to help me deal with my ex asking about everything EXCEPT how he can help financially provide for his three children. Blessedly for me, I don’t need it. But for women who do, I just don’t know how y’all don’t be in jail at least once a month.

I met a great guy. Tall, smart, financially independent, thoughtful, articulate AND Black! There’s just one problem. All of his views on politics are pure red hat, with the white letters. It is as surprising as it is horrifying. I am tempted to pretend that it doesn’t matter. Unfortunately it does.

This is good. They aren’t caving, they are in on it. Some of this, I think, applies to universities as well. It definitely applies to large corporations backing away from DEI.
