This is a marvelous short thread and yes, play the hand you’re dealt: fight fascism with whatever is within your arm’s reach and skillset: even if that’s just a Bluetooth speaker and a willingness to be a pest in public.
People are following federal agents around DC w/the Imperial March. 😘

CHICAGO!!

Will add some basic ICE melting🧊 resources below.

Plz add other resources/ideas, & let’s get sub threads by city, so eg one person can start a Boston reply thread and everyone can add stuff to that thread — ?

Not sure about the branding choice of Hugo Boss to go with the latest Superman as their new face.
Feels like there might be some baggage there.

Fantastic start to the morning.
I slept in, or at least I thought I did till my alarm went off with time left to go gym before work! Great start to the day.

Interesting if true that a social media company with strong Microsoft ties is blocking posts about an alternative to Win11 a few months before Win10's end of life - aka when everyone is forced to upgrade to 11 or buy a new PC or develop an interest in... www.tomshardware.com/software/lin...

Rode new bike home from shop in 39 degree heat.
New achievement unlocked: Sunburn on exactly one side of my face.
(Yes, I was wearing sunscreen).

Gotta say Transperth, having two spur lines come off a station (Bayswater) without any sheltered bus stops designed to accommodate a line disruption has not been a positive user experience.
At least it’s only 13 UV index and 24 degrees Celsius- could be raining.

Feeling the effects of a second spur line being added to Midland line…expecting/accounting for all the random stopping and delays for a while till they iron this stuff out.

At least almost everyone was seated on departure from Perth…

Day one of testing out two nameless profession-specific AI platforms side-by side.
But enough of that…

Anyone else notice how Charmander is pretty good at thinking about burning things but can’t swim to find its tail, while Squirtle can swim great and get all the pebbles but can’t burn shit?

Firing off my usual “they facilitated torture during the Bush Administration, any university that used them during that era should have been picketed” rant as I respond to a request for a copy of APA7.

Kid and I have now seen #TransformersOne. Kid said his favourite part was when Robot Goodguyman talked to the undying centre of the universe and was given the strength to fight Despoiler16…or something - weird naming conventions.
Enjoyable Hamm-adjacent performances from Thor and Black Widow.

A Lin Manuel Miranda genderswapped concept album remake of The Warriors (1979) was not on my list of things I expected to exist, but I can dig it.

Halfway through a trial for an expensive research platform, still a feck load of licenses yet to be activated.
Now to move away from the “suggestively herding felines” approach towards “active equine hydration”.

Painfully aware I’ll have to work out how to incorporate ActivityPub and AT into my library OPAC at some point in the future, also painfully aware that existing RSS on relevant feeds are spotty at best.
