Exactly. Why are you dressing in alt fashion. Or even curated normie fashion, if you aren't dressing in a way that speaks to yourself. At the end of the day the only person that has to like your coord is YOU!
I keep thinking about this and it builds on something I sometimes say when people ask for multiple-choice wardrobe-building advice on Discord:

The people who look the coolest and best to me are always people who dress through self expression & culture regards of their background, body type, or age and revise the clothes to match it. I don't think it's a coincidence many popular alt fashions have DIY or self-identifying habits

The reason I’m pushing letter writing so hard rn is because my Congress rep has turned off his voicemail box and has essentially stopped answering the phone completely. So I’m gonna get him to hear my complaints whether he wants to or not.
