Tory PCC Matthew Barber tries to create a panic over a streetlight

It turns out this incident in question relates to the actions of his own Tory Administration....back in 2011

Maybe our PCC should stick the basics of the job, and not try silly political stunts?

14+ years of Tory underfunding of Highways has left our roads a ticking time bomb 💣

Long-term Tory administrations at both national and local level in Oxfordshire have left a terrible legacy 🚨💥

Don't let them get away with it #ToryNeglect

I wouldn’t normally, but I decided to Strava my leafleting this morning.

8 miles nearly! Pretty happy with that - slightly sore feet but happy in the knowledge that I’ve spread a little bit of liberal democracy to rural North Oxfordshire 🔶🦶

At City Council budget meeting. I had a small speech and a large elephant to try and persuade council to vote for funds to inch the playground project forward. Now we wait for the vote. 🤞🤞🤞 Thanks to @libdemsoxon.bsky.social @oxfordlabour.bsky.social and Oxford Greens for their support.

Certified wizard @zoecrowther.bsky.social has produced interactive maps illustrating where smaller parties can expect success at the May local elections

The Lib Dems will fancy their chances in the south, while Reform will be licking their lips in the northeast

Oxfordshire Tories back Brexit

But it’s been a disaster and Mr Clarkson knows it too

We need to start with a Customs Union with the EU!
Clarkson is right. Brexit has made travelling to the EU with any kind of professional equipment, nightmarish. Carnets for cameras etc is a bureaucratic, expensive waste of time. But it applies to loads of industries, esp musicians/performing artists etc.

Jeremy Clarkson: Brexit makes me want to sit in a gutter and weep
Since we left the EU it’s been easier to get into Iraq than France. None of this has made our lives better in any way
