@museumofthehome.bsky.social I have an early (1920's?) Jackson electric cooker which originally belonged to my aunt. We are moving and can't take it with us. I don't want to throw it away as it is part of our heritage. Would you like it? I can deliver if you do.

Danny Kruger defected to Reform saying "the Conservative Party is over", it's pretty much what all the other defectors have said. Proves their only principle is power. I don't want that kind of a person anywhere near the levers of government.

Utterly horrified by the Oval Office train crash yesterday. Trump's behaviour can be charitably described as capricious & JD Vance is clearly hostile. There has been no criticism of Russian aggression. The US can no longer be regarded as a reliable ally, Europe will have to shoulder the burden.

@edconway.bsky.social Hi, big fan of your work. I'm told that you did some research a little while ago that showed we have enough housing but it's not in the right places around the country. I've searched but can't find it, could you please point me in the right direction. Thank you.

@kayburley.bsky.social I cannot tell you how much I will miss you each day. I once told SJM that one of the things I most looked forward to when I went into politics was being interviewed by you, now it's not going to happen ☹️. You richly deserve the next phase of your adventure. Enjoy everything.

Jean Marie Le Pen has died. I will not celebrate the death of another human being however I grieve that the racism, homophobia, arrogance and hatred he espoused did not go with him. We must all fight every day against everything he stood for.

I am no longer posting on X. Elon Musk has endorsed the AFD in Germany, called for the release of Tommy Robinson and is now meddling in UK politics. I cannot in good conscience be in the same room as him or use his platform (which amounts to the same thing).

Another small step in turning this country into a democracy.

If I had been elected in July I would be voting for the Assisted Dying Bill. A Select Committee looked at the main objections and found that elsewhere in the world there was no evidence of family pressure or the so called slippery slope. Indeed I suspect that many family members 1/3

Chuffed, showed a lady my gift cards at the Ealing Broadway Centre yesterday. Her reaction was "Wow" and promptly bought 8 of them. Might be on to something.

Well I've made the jump although I will keep my other account for a while just to see how things pan out. Posts won't be quite as politically focused as on X, you may get some random thoughts and things I find interesting.
