Happy holidays if you’re celebrating today. Here’s the giant Christmas bauble I illustrated that lives outside the Art of Marvel hotel at Disneyland Paris every December.

It was the first in a tradition they’ve kept up several years now. I always smile when I see people’s photos of it.

Still quite proud that, the obligatory fuck you aside, my last post on the old deceased bird site a year ago or whatever it was, was this valuable piece of documented internet.

Why the new influx of followers? All welcome of course, just curious as I spent the day mostly vacuuming and wrapping presents rather than posting.

Oooh I have something for the thread showing people’s most detailed illustrations …but I can’t show it for another three months or so.

It’s BIG as in those numbers are metres not inches sir.

Getting there with this illustration I’m working on, don’t despise it yet so that’s good at least.

Can’t not think of the Walliam’s Spaced bit. “Not finished….. Finished.”

To the guy on the platform at Ipswich station in full top hat and monocle, I salute you.

If you get an email that’s generically complimentary about your work and is entirely vague about their proposition, it’s N F Ts. It’s always that, even though I haven’t had that one for a little bit.

Fuckers.

Why I chose to make this last illo of the year so bloody detailed and complicated I don’t know.

To the discourse about generated images to ‘help’ communicate to the illustrator what you want; the last two projects I’ve done did this and it in fact just introduced ANOTHER step to the process that needlessly dragged things out.

A I hasn’t learnt the basic animators trick of leading the lipsynch by offsetting the audio, and that coupled with comical over enunciating really turns my stomach when I unfortunately stumble across it. It’s like watching waxworks whilst whiting out.

Someone said online the other day they don’t know why Apple ships Macs with Photobooth as no one uses it, and they have never seen the horrors of every illustrators Photobooth album of twisted, contorted reference selfies like an exorcism handbook have they.

GenAI is for guys who don't know how to think or learn and are gonna make it everyone else's problem.

Which is why it appeals so very much to the exact people who have *always* done this: billionaires and executives

They don’t seem to understand that creatives don’t choose to do that all their life so much as choose not to try and do other things.

I like that we’re back in an era of just fun little varied Star Wars games.

What was the SW C&C clone? I’d love a new version of that.
Get ready for STAR WARS: Galactic Racer™.

A high-stakes form of racing is born in the Outer Rim. The Galactic League is an unsanctioned circuit where syndicates lurk and champions emerge.

Coming 2026.

A hugely outdated post but I only just reached the end credits; MachineGames really did such a great job at creating another Indy adventure. The Great Circle feels so genuine.

It’s ‘free’ if you have Prime and I played it on iPad with an XBOX controller. If you’re an Indy fan it’s a must I’d say.
