I guess my main point here is: Don't be afraid of your own setting. Warcraft has ALWAYS had a light, silly, and fun side. It's totally fine to embrace that. But it also needs to have dark, dangerous, and brutal moments too.
Warcraft is big enough to hold space for all of those elements.

The fact that FFXIV doesn't manipulate its players with seasonal "Don't miss out this might never come back!" type bullshit is why I typically recommend it more than WoW when people are trying to find a genuine MMO experience.

Poor soul got on the WoW subreddit trying to rally for the introduction of evergreen raids to the game, but failed to realize that WoW players are so twisted by the seasonal content scheme of the game that they can't imagine playing it without it benefitting their character in some form of power.

Was thinking about the future of Delves & the companion for them. Honestly, I hope they become a vehicle for under-used characters to become more familiar to us over time. With maybe some faction specific characters at some point. Ultimately culminating in a 'roster' that we can pick and choose from

I adore the Ohn'ahra transformation, but again an expansion that launched with major shamanism themes across the board and they got zero forms? Insane. (The ascended forms didn't drop til much later)
Druids got their 1.5 patches and were showered in forms and cosmetics.

With the inclusion of more leather-like cosmetic sets, the mail transmog game has improved tenfold imo. Now if only Blizz would relax and let classes mog freely to fully open the customization gates.
