If I have done nothing else in my cathedral ministry, I have ensured we sang ‘Cauliflowers fluffy’ and ‘The Harvest Samba’ this morning at the family service- and that feels like a win

Fitted a cat flap today on my own, used a jigsaw and everything… which makes me feel accomplished. The reason that I needed to fit a cat flap is because were burgled yesterday and need to up all sorts of security…. Which makes me feel like death

I verified my age this morning from bed before I’d got up and arranged my face… so blue sky probably thinks I’m 75

In this incredibly busy week of meeting after meeting and event after event, people who say they will meet with me at a certain time and then keep me waiting for half an hour get a hard Paddington stare

Giggled like an actual child at Evensong last night while the choir sang the psalm. I, like God in Psalm 147, take no pleasure in horses or men’s legs

So the dog just kicked my work laptop screen- the work laptop that belongs to my work and not me- and bust it… what am I allowed to kick to release my frustration?

As a gay lady I don’t pretend to know much of anything about the menfolk, but one thing I do find completely baffling is the out of context sports manoeuvre. I’ve just witnessed a man exit a cafe and go into a full cricket bowl. He had no ball. Not a cricket pitch in site. For why?!

Dang evensong for the first time at the cathedral last night… nobody died, nobody laughed (nor died laughing) and I didn’t do any nervous wees or sicks on the floor

The dog partook in her first pancake last night… I’ve been making my dogs dreams come true since 2021

When you have a Labrador it’s a constant balancing act of either buying cheap toys that they will destroy in seconds, or expensive, harder wearing toys and then put up with their frustration when they can’t immediately rip it to shreds…we’re on the latter at the moment. Feel Rosie’s wrath Mr Octopus

So what’s everyone plans for their Superb Owl Parties?

On this frosty, sleepy February Monday morning I am very grateful for the excellent cafe at school that sell hot almond croissants and good mochas

Must work on not looking quite so much like a startled earwig when I wake up suddenly, having nodded off during the intercessions in Choral Evensong- at least I entertained the verger opposite me

There are candles lit, we’re watching Shetland, we’re both knitting and there’s a snoozing dog between us- 2025 is very wholesome thus far

In what way is it appropriate to poke a vicar, a woman, nay anyone, in the tummy to say thank you for opening a gate for you?! No merry Christmases for you weird man
