Two-thirds of English councils have not prosecuted a single rogue landlord in past three years despite 300,000 separate complaints.

Less than 2% of complaints led to any action.

2010-2020 Austerity: 41% cut in enforcement funding, staff cut by a third.

Law without enforcement is a cruel hoax.

Exclusive: Councils prosecuted just 64 landlords despite receiving 300,000 complaints from tenants in unfit homes

This man was trafficked into Britain, in ways which the government would now use to make him subject to deportation. According to a leading political pundit, he brought with him ancestral violence, which means that he *and his British-born children* should be expelled.

This man.

Who benefits from the abolition of stamp duty land tax?

The first answer: people buying very expensive homes. Average saving for someone buying a £10m+ home is £1.7m. Average saving for someone buying a £250k-£500k home is £5k.

Few people saying "actually she's right" about media obsession w Farage, but 1) it would OBVIOUSLY come up in interviews; 2) there are better answers than "SorryWhatPardon I don't understand"; and 3) it actually wasn't true here - first half was about her poor performance with no mention of RefUK.
Among the worse interviews I've seen a politician give. There is no way Badenoch can (or should) survive until May.

- Do you admire Nigel Farage?
- On what basis?
- Do you admire him?
- I don't understand your question.
- What do you think of him?
- Why don't you ask me about Ed Davey?" 😱 ~AA

We all hoped the Windrush scandal would be shame enough. But no. The Tory party plumbs new depths with its vile rhetoric. Nothing good comes from their prejudice. But our communities prove them wrong every day.

I know statistics are poorly understood and are misused. But facts matter

Between the 1991, 2001, 2011 and 2021 Census *every* ethnic group in the UK has become *less* geographically segregated and *all* groups, majority and minorities, are more likely to interact with people not like them

There were no education events at Reform conference. Their only policies appear to be giving private schools their tax breaks back and changing the history curriculum to trumpet the benefits of empire.

Just for perspective, a few weeks ago roughly 100,000 turned up for the London Trans+ Pride march. By contrast fewer than 3,000 ACROSS THE WHOLE COUNTRY, have turned up to anti-asylum "protests". Yet we are meant to take the latter as "the voice of the people" and the former as "the minority".
