Suspect this is gonna attract a lot of scoffing & derision from the Briefcases so before they all descend to honk & snort I just wanna say this is an irresistible interview. Polanski comes across wonderfully: warm, big hearted & utterly approachable which is exactly what's missing in our politicians

The 50 wealthiest families in the UK own more than 34 million people combined.

That level of inequality is totally unsustainable.

A wealth tax isn’t radical - it’s inevitable. And the Green Party will keep making the case.

I think Corbyn isn't a particularly good leader - but god damn he can make a good speech...

We have 400 volunteers on the streets of Gorton and Denton today.

Labour are out of it. It's Greens vs Reform.

Lower bills, tax the rich, protect the NHS. We will win.

Trump started it.

Reform and Tories are at it too.

And Labour already heading in that direction.

All cruel, potentially deadly and does nothing to fix the cost of living crisis.

What a load of shit, and everyone knows it.

Fair point.

Though I would argue that "not playing the media's game" has already harmed Labour.

That's a fair point to not expect instant reactions, that's deffo something I'm guilty of (zoomer brain).

Nah, I don't like heights I'd probably do it at ground level like.

I'm not saying that Starmer should announce a conference and start lambasting the US, but when Trump is quite literally making statements about Greenland and US military planes arrive in the UK - I get a bit concerned.

Not to be an arsehole, but you're missing the point. The fact that MPs can't bring themselves to say "a country shouldn't invade another country" is worrying.
January 5, 2026 at 11:05 AM
I doubt it, but then again, I doubted a lot of the claims people made about Trump back in 2016 and look where we are now...

Agreed, when no money is invested into society - how can they be shocked when it regresses?

Not to sound naive, but I just don't get it. Labour needs to pull their heads out of their arses. Or better yet, people need to vote Green ;)
