I gave myself a bad haircut, right when I need to be at my best for interviews. BUT as a metaphor, I undercut myself often. I don't apply when I don't match EVERY qualification. Perfection is impossible, but good is obtainable. Each new job application is a new job application.Bad haircuts grow out.

Every time an app asks me to synch my contacts it feels inappropriate

Ah, I was in on Twitter in the heady, early days of 140 characters. I had let it lapse long before it changed to 280. I had forgotten the effort of not wasting words in my own, verbose, rambling, and slightly antique way of speaking and writing. Perhaps a good lesson to relearn.

I'm in a tricky position at the moment, looking for a better paying job. So, what do I use this account for? Bluesky is, at the moment, blue. It may not always be. Or not predominantly so. I cannot afford to alienate people who are looking to hire. But is, at this moment, silence collaboration?

First post - one has dreams of starting with a bang. Of finding that right set of words that will be read and shared by the masses, that will set the tone for all one's future posts and lead to ardent, intelligent followers. And in the end, you write nothing. So here is the start, to make a start.
